At MinistryEngage, we believe that your parish's data belongs to your parish. We built this tool to simplify ministry leadership, not to monetize your congregation's information. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information to provide our service:

• Account Information: We collect names, email addresses, and phone numbers of users in order to send transactional notifications from the ministries they enroll with.
• Analytics & Tracking: We use PostHog for in-app product analytics to help us understand how the app is used and improve the experience. We also use anonymous cookies (such as the Google tracking snippet or Meta pixel) on our public promotional website to market the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used strictly to operate the MinistryEngage platform. This includes sending automated reminders for upcoming shifts and processing shift swaps between members. Additionally, we may occasionally send promotional emails to account owners regarding new platform features and updates. While our public marketing site uses tracking pixels, the MinistryEngage app itself is entirely ad-free.

3. Data Security & Access

We are secure by design. All MinistryEngage data is encrypted in transit (via TLS) and at rest (via AES-256 encryption), utilizing the default industry-standard configurations of our database provider. To maximize security, we use passwordless authentication. Users log in via secure, unique one-time codes or passkeys. Furthermore, new member signups must be explicitly approved by church administrators to ensure a safe, closed community.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party infrastructure to run MinistryEngage efficiently. Here is exactly what data they process:

• Supabase (Database): Your account and personal contact info are stored on an encrypted database managed by Supabase.
• Stripe (Billing): We do not store any sensitive payment details. Stripe stores your credit card details securely and only shares your subscription payment status with us.
• Twilio & SendGrid: Temporarily processes your email address and phone number solely to send you transactional messages on behalf of your ministries and MinistryEngage.
• PostHog: Processes anonymized interaction data exclusively for in-app product analytics.
